THE FILM PRODUCTION FOUNDATION
The first step which is KEY in any successful work for the movie screen, a book, the stage, for an office...is that it is FIRST WRITTEN DOWN!
Now that we have that stated, let's move on to, first, the FOUNDATION in this creative arena, THE SCRIPT!!!
Let's start with the key elements listed below. You will see how this info makes it free for you to expand on your own from here!
Now that you're prompted...and inspired to write...your Movie or TV or Stage or Internet script, it will HELP to start with these key elements...and then build from there. Whether you're writing a book, a novel, a novella...you need to build from a strong creative foundation. At some point in the process of creating, other encounters or thoughts can happen which will cause some type of change or the other to be made or improved upon. With a solid foundation, any additional work will be done with ease as you further develop your storyline. It's going to happen. Make it an easy adjustment/happening!
Writing your Movie/TV/Stage Production includes:
1. Your IDEA
2. Your PREMISE
3. Your CHARACTER BACKSTORY
4. Your OUTLINE/TREATMENT
5. Your SCRIPT
Let's keep it going. Continue below.
CAN CREATIVITY BE TAUGHT?
Some will say that creativity is something you're born with.
Some will say you can teach structure & operations, but creativity comes naturally.
BOTH OF THE ABOVE STATEMENTS ARE TRUE, BUT ARE LOOKED AT WITH LIMITED LENSES.
HERE’S HOW CREATING CAN BE GROOMED OUT OF YOU...There is something that you are just passionate about. There are some things that are on your mind on a regular basis more than anything else. There are some things that make you smile or gives you energy or tickles your fancy, so to speak. This...or these ideas are what you will be best at creating and these pages will groom you into putting it in a visible, understandable, entertaining structure.
*If you have a(an) idea(s) and are willing to learn an effective structure framework...in addition to your passion...then, you've got it to start, with these pages here!
When you’re passionate about something, you’re going to work to get it done. This also happens in film/TV/Stage, etc. You can be an experienced Executive Producer or a Key Grip, but may not know the ins and outs of putting your film/TV story in the proper form to bring it to a professional life. Some years ago, I came across a Head Writer for a TV Show who knew how to tell a story while working with other Staff Screen Writers on the set BUT did not know how to create the foundation to build on a script directly, without others' input. The information in these pages will give you directly a heads up on how to effectively put your ideas in the right structure and nicely on the screen. This will keep the people's attention whom you are looking to fund your project once you have found them AND it will keep the audiences attention to pay for your movie AND refer others to go see it in the theaters! May these pages help you reach your goal or have you compensate someone else nicely to bring your goal to a professionally structured production reality.
First, ALWAYS THE SCRIPT, SOLID GOLD, AWARD WINNING, SHINING WITH BELLS FIRST, Always effectively done first before any costs and specific cast and crew members can be determined. Without the script, the storyline, etc., even in reality show projects...no production will ever come about.
IT ALL STARTS WITH A GREAT SCRIPT/STORYLINE.
THEN...YOU BUILD FROM THERE...WITH THE OTHER NEEDED ASPECTS IN PRODUCTION.
NOW, LET'S SEE HOW TO MAKE THIS SCRIPT...
Let's go on to PEN IT (WRITING)
